So why make a site for her? A few reasons. While she's not my favourite, I do like Mimi. She's cool, and she does have a sort of cute charisma. I like her voice - although it can take a little getting used to, there's this quality in it that can just crack me up. She's pretty, she's friends with Joe, and some of the situations she finds herself in are hilarious (such as being chased by a giant stuffed bear, or having a 'talking dessert' throwing crap at her, having Numemon crack onto her). Mostly I wanted to make a site for Mimi because I think there are very few shrines for her around... I wanted to make another character site, but I didn't want to do a Tai one because there are quite a few already and I don't like much 'competition'. And I couldn't do a Davis one because I haven't even seen half of 02 (what I have seen, my pal Rb was sooo nice to send to me, but I can't take screenshots of American-format videos either). So I saw which 01 digidestined seemed to have the least shrines (bar perhaps TK and Kari whom I am not fond of) and decided to make one. Also, I know Tachikawa Mimi (the person, not the anime character) likes Mimi so this shrine is sort of for her. ^_^. Mimi is not the sort of character I usually like... but as I began to make the site, I found it was very easy to write about Mimi. Interesting too, as I began to think of things and notice things about her that I never had before. To be honest, I found this site more fun to write than I did my Joe site (Senior Blues), and Joey-boy's my favourite character. I may at times sound like I dislike Mimi, such as where I emphasise her bad points, or when I called her (arguably) the most useless member of the team, but I still like her as a character - I'm just trying to be objective... What I should say is, just because I acknowledge her bad points doesn't mean they put me off her as a character. It's also easier to describe her bad points in words than it is to describe what makes her likeable and her good points and so on. That, and I've been hanging around Rb for too long. (Rb is a friend of mine. She is not a Mimi fan. To say the least. ^^;) Actually, maybe I am making this site to spite Rb. Hahaha, you reading this? Nyeah nyeah, Mimi's cool Mimi's cool Mimi's cool, Sora and Cody aren't*, Sora and Cody aren't, Sora and Cody aren't. Hahah, try doctoring my comments now, Miss Interviewer! (Okay, now I'm just asking for it. ^_^.) Anyway, this site was fun to make and I did want to have a site with the word 'sincerity' in the title. Isn't that a beautiful word? It's been my favourite word since even before I ever saw Digimon. Sincerity... the way it looks and sounds... sooo pretty... along with "eloquence"... something I tend to lack myself when I go all babbly and enthusiastic, eh. ^_^. Maybe this is the female version of Senior Blues. ^_^. The image gallery isn't as big... oh well. I like flowers and the colour green and the way Mimi looks. You just can't go wrong. As a completely out-of-nowhere question, am I the only one who finds it a little unnerving that all the Digimon females have red eyes? I mean, it's not normal, is it? *I like Sora and Cody, I think they're cool characters. But so does Rb. And since she's so keen on disagreeing with MY favourite characters, I feel I ought to be contrary myself. ^_^. |
