the bass man,
songwriter, singer,
producer
and p. r. officer
Robert Reynolds, one half of The Mavericks
dynamic
'rhythm' duo. Along with drummer Paul Deakin, they form the backbeat of
the group - an integral and unique component that help make up the
'sound'
that is The Mavericks'.
During the
latter part of the 20th century,
and the
early 21st century, Robert spread his musical wings as one of the
driving
forces behind several beat combos. He is a major songwriter and singer
with the swinging SWAG, a friendly
conglomeration
of musical buddies that include THE piano player, Mr Jerry Dale
McFadden;
Scotty Huff , the trumpeter on the Trampoline tour, and Wilco's
tub-thumper
Ken Coomer; among many others.
He has also
teamed up with his syncopated
partner
in rhythm, Paul Deakin, the sensitive singer/songwriter Kevin
Montgomery,
and guitarist Doug Pettibone, to form the oh-so colourful four-some,
known
as PAINT.
He has also spent considerable time
working with Jerry Dale
McFadden
and Scotty Huff on writing and playing musical scores for children's
animated
video storybooks, which has already earned them a prestigious award,
and
the release of a tie-in CD, Antarctic Antics. There is even talk of his
creativity being put to use directing videos for a new young bandof
Texans, The
Luxury Liners.
Since The Mavericks hung up their
boots to dry, Robert has also
spent
considerable days on the road playing with the afore-mentioned combos.
He has done many shows in and around Nashville, as Swag, Paint and also
backing one of Scotlands finest hidden treasures, singer/songwriter Dean
Owens. He has also undertaken several extensive tours of the UK and
Europe with Kevin Montgomery, often with Paul Deakin and a veritable
host
of fellow songwriters and musicians under the collective names of the
Renegades
and more
recently The Road Trippers.
He has even ventured to the far
reaches of the pacific rim,
touring Australia
with Kevin Montgomery, where he performed absolutely 'solo' for the
very
first time. And what great debut performances.

By mid 2003, Robert can now
acknowledge and appreciate the critical
(and reasonable commercial) success of SWAG's Catchall album and
combine
that with the enthusiastic and encouraging reception of his most recent
solo performances.
This has allowed Robert Reynolds to add an even greater personal touch
to his musical endeavours (and in the process including his middle name
'Earl') with the release of his first solo mini-albums, the
delightfully
diverse and often delicate - Audrey In A Dream,
followed by the equally engaging, melodic and authentic - The Wintersky
Works.
On both releases, Robert Earl Reynolds quality of songwriting and
arranging has been maintained and expanded,
further adding to his unique
musical identity outside of The Mavericks.
And your bird can sing too!
Robert, along with Paul Deakin has also put together another collective
swag of musicians - The Hillbilly Allstars,
featuring singer-actor Mark Collie, and BR549's Chuck Mead, amongst
several others.

In recent years Robert has been
busy collaborating with many other songwriters,
building up quite a body (or maybe skeletons!) of songs not currently
available
in The Mavericks' or any of their side-projects recorded catalogue of
works.
These songs can be found registered with BMI (a major music publisher).
Most of these have yet to be commercially released by any of the The
Mavericks
themselves, or through some other outlet.
Robert Earl
Reynolds
(BMI Songwriter No 189135836)
These are Robert's other songwriting efforts
which have
yet (as far as I can tell) to see
the commercial light of day.
But I Did (Robert Reynolds - Scotty Huff)
Smile In My Pocket (Robert Reynolds - Scotty Huff - Joyce
Cortland)
Don't Remind Me (Robert Reynolds - Jaime Hanna - Alan Miller)
Something Like A Broken Heart (Robert Reynolds - Jaime Hanna

To Touch The Moon (Robert Reynolds - Scotty Huff - Jerry
Dale McFadden)
