I recently
spent some time on my parent's property and had the opportunity to take
advantage of my
father's stockpile of scrap metal and also expunge some of
the creative urges that have been building up doing solely science.
I used an old bedlamp which I cut and polished for the thorax and
wings, a door knob for the transition from thorax to head,
sprinkler connectors for the head, fencing wire for the legs and a 40W orange
globe for the
abdomen.
Therefore, the bug also doubles as a light (see images below).
