MajorMud is a fantasy role playing online game based in a text environment where you choose from one of 13 races and 15 classes to create your mud character, and begin exploring the realm accumulating experience and wealth as you go.

I have been running this MajorMUD game on my server since roughly Nov 2001 after I bought it from Ace Internet a local ISP where I played for about 2 years prior to buying it, due to Ace Internet having to change software from Worldgroup to something more updated (useful? snicker). I bought Worldgroup 3.13NT from another local ISP called Webzone at the same time and upgraded it to 3.20NT (90 Lines) soon after. The BBS opened in Oct 2002, and I upgraded to Worldgroup 3.30NT (256 lines) at the start of June 2004.

It's running on a new server which I bought over Christmas 2004 and you can look at the specs page which is linked from the main page. It's situated in my bedroom for maximum emergency response time :)

My internet connection is currently a 3-4/1Mbit ADSL link using a Billion 7404VGP-M Modem/Router. My ISP is Internode and I am now connected to an Agile DSLAM port, Internode's parent company's hardware rather than evil Telstra.

Currently the daily clean-up is at 11pm local board time and the server is down for about 3 - 4 mins while a backup is made and the normal cleanup routine is run.
