Social....

The social aspect of our brigade is a very important aspect of our brigade and helps to foster teamwork, co-operation between members and form 'mateship' - one of the most critical and satisfying aspects of a voluntary emergency service. After formal training and maintenance is complete on a Friday night, our members are free to socialize, watch television, play pool/darts/table-tennis and generally relax at our Fire Station.

We also recognise the vital importance of family support for volunteers, without which we simply could not do what we do. This is why we have numerous social events for members and their family and friends that cater for all our tastes. Ten Pin or Lawn Bowling, Cricket/Baseball/Volleyball matches, Indoor Rock-climbing, local area Car Trials, Quiz Nights and Progressive Dinners are just some of the events our brigade Social Committee has organised over the years.

Our biggest social event is always our Family Christmas Party and we are lucky enough to receive a visit from Father Christmas himself riding on the back of our 'Eden Pumper' Fire Truck! A great highlight for the children and just a small way of thanking our families for their support throughout the year.
