64mm Rubber Lined, Layflat and High Pressure Reel HosesWe have 4 main type of hoses:
high pressure 25mm (1") rubber/naidnar??? hose and rubber layflat,
64mm (2 1/2") canvas/canvas rubber outer
38mm (1 1/2") canvas/canvas rubber outer
64mm (2 1/2") hard suctionWe also use 100mm (4") hard suction storz coupling fitted hose for hydrant boosting which can be plumbed straight into the 'eye' of the pump. Our 64mm & 38mm hoses have 'SAMFS' also known as 'London Fire Brigade Round Thread' couplings and the high pressure/layflat hoses have BSP screww threaded couplings.

Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan
Typhoon Hale Water-driven FanFor ventilation we use a water-driven fan which connects to 64mm hose. This is utilised at incidents such as structure fires, gas leaks and HAZMAT Dangerous Substance spillages.
GPS (Global Positioning System)
Garmin GPS II PlusWe carry a portable GPS in our 4WD 'Eden 24' Fire Appliance to give us exact geographical references in 'off-road' conditions. This helps not only with identifying our own location but also is useful in determining the point of origin of a fire, fire boundary plotting and many other mapping functions.
20 litre Water Knapsack with Double Action Hand Pump
We still carry at least one 20 litre knapsack on each appliance which can be worn on a fire-fighter's back and used effectively on small spotfires in very hard to access areas. Heavy and 'hard yakka' work - they are still a very efficient and mobile fire-fighting tool.
