We are a small but select kennel situated near Buninyong, a small country town in Victoria, Australia just over an hours drive west of Melbourne city centre.  As we are centrally located we are able to show the dogs both in Melbourne and in greater Victoria, which we have done with much success since moving here from interstate. We have the luxury of 20 wonderful acres giving us the space we need for exercising and training the dogs. The views are great, the weather although cold at times is fantastic, and the tranquillity simply relaxing. And yes for those of you wondering, we do share with Kangaroos, Koalas, Wombats, Echidnas, Ducks, Wedge Tailed Eagles, Owls and quite a few Kookaburras who love sitting around laughing at us and the dogs.

The Etherial prefix was established in 2001, and prior to this the prefix Cucriche was used in New South Wales by Samantha, therefore some of our dogs carry either prefix, depending on their date of birth. The first Etherial litters brought us much success with our youngsters consistently doing well at all breeds, specialty and Royal shows.

We do not breed very often as we are only breeding to enhance our own kennel and show team.  We have had great success in the show ring with our foundation bitch Grand Champion Cyndee Azurre Maid CDX TD having won an incredible 15 Best In Show awards at championship show level and with over 4500 challenge points, no mean feat for a bitch.  She has also contributed in the whelping box having produced 4 litters with show, obedience and tracking stars amongst her progeny. Sadly she is no longer with us.

Ellies legacy lives on though with a highly successful line resulting in three generations of Grand Champions (Ellie, Chance and Ace) and Aria is well on the way.

Our other foundation dog, Grand Champion Waveney Midnite Nuance who is also no longer with us was also very successful in the show ring having won Royal Show Best of Breed awards in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. He also went on to win Runner up Best in Group at Adelaide and Sydney Royals and Best in Group at Brisbane Royal. Kozmoz was also Best in Show at the Working Dog Club of Victoria in 2001 over an entry of  607.

More recently we have been campaigning Grand Champion Etherial Chase the Ace HSAs. Ace has excelled in the breed ring winning Best In Show at the 1st National Border Collie Show in Sydney in 2006 and has followed in up with Best in Show in at the Victorian Border Collie Specialty Show in 2007. Ace has also spent some time in the herding rings and in just 2 years achieved his HSAs title

Our breeding plan is proving successful and we are consistently producing quality Borders which are performing well in all canine sporting disciplines across the world. Browse through our site to see their achievements.

We are strongly committed to producing quality Border Collies who are not only sound in body and mind but have exceptional temperaments, we are very diligent in our goals and only breed from x-rayed, DNA tested and/or eye tested stock.

Etherial is a team effort with both of us sharing in the grooming, training and handling of our dogs. The senior members of our show team have had success both under local and international judges with either of us handling them, including In Show awards and wins at Specialty shows.
