Hippycam (tm)

The best places to look for my video are my YouTube and Vimeo channels. There's some stored here, but, ahem, I exceeded my quota pretty quickly. Now I have my own camera, quotas are likely to become a big issue...

YouTube channel yep, I've created a YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/thefathippy, so I don't exceed my quota here. Be sure to watch the HD versions, if available. No music allowed at YouTube. :^(
Vimeo channel well, I couldn't just have YouTube, could I? http://vimeo.com/channels/thefathippy. Watch the HD versions, if available. No music allowed here, either. :^(

The early stuff was shot with a Sanyo 720x576 tape camera, usually connected to a security style bullet camera. I think I used to carry about 200m of cable, not to mention batteries, spare tapes, etc in my backpack. Often as not, I'd get to the end of a great run and discover I'd accidentally disconnected a wire putting the kit back into my pack, or had a dodgy connection, or the bullet camera's battery had come off, or, or... some other disaster had struck. Now I have a GoPro (full) HD all in one, and it's a breeze to use - although I have forgotten to turn it on a couple of times, or thought it was on when it wasn't. Still, a huge improvement.
