Purpose:
This site exists for a few reasons now. The first is because some time back in early 1998 I decided that I wanted to create a website. Since the first design when I was learning HTML, the site has gone through three complete rebuilds. The history of the site is shown below as little thumbnails :D

Site 1:
Site 1: 1998 and what I think is my first website... that I can remember.

Site 2:
Site 2: Late 1998 and I've moved from POV-Ray to MAX. This site had a lot more info than Site 1 and got a lot of traffic from people looking for MAX plug-ins.

Site 3:
Site 3: This site alone has gone through more changes than the previous two put together. About 4 different versions I think. New nav bars, front pages and colour schemes, along with a host of new section. The last intro page will be making it to Site 4.

The second reason is that I wanted a place to gather together my thoughts and graphical experiments. Originally I started with a program called POV-Ray, then I moved on to commercial programs such as Photoshop and 3D Studio MAX. Now I use a variety of programs to produce my images and I'm also a professional website designer. The third reason is that people actually found some of the material on my site useful and liked reading my updates, so I can't just stop the site and disappoint everyone can I? :) If you don't like the site, if you're offended by it, if you lack a sense of humour, or if you use some chunky old version of Netscape, leave now and do yourself a favour by not complaining to me about it, because you'll be wasting your time :P

Who and where:
My name's Lance, I'm 26 and currently living in a sea-side town on the east coast of Australia. This is an interesting place, it's isolated and on the surface doesn't appear to have much going on. I've changed my opinion of it recently, as it's changed a lot in the past few years. Some things haven't changed though, which is a good thing.

Favourite music:
This changes a lot. It's mostly electronica, such as Massive Attack, Radiohead, Underworld and Prodigy, but I like a lot of different music, such as Dream Theater, Chroma Key, OSI and basically everything in between. The only music that doesn't really grab me is metal and country, which I just can't seem to get in to. But I also like Aphex Twin, so who knows.

Stuff about me:
I play pool and pinball a fair bit, I like messing with computers (particularly graphics and programming), I fiddle with electronics and hack together sometimes poorly constructed circuits, people say I'm confusing (add in any other derogatory adjective you want there, chances are I've had it thrown at me too), I appreciate those who are willing to listen to me, I find electronic gadgets interesting, authoritarians frustrate me, and I think there are only a few people who really understand what I'm on about.
