welcome to inbetween

An annual festival celebration.

9th-15th January, 2013

This unique gathering is held on private property, located in the forest west of Taree, in the Manning Valley.

It is a small camping and collaborative arts/recreation festival, so named because of its situation spatially and temporally.

This year, inbetween celebrates its 5th birthday!
Come and celebrate with us!

If you are thinking of coming, we strongly suggest joining the Inbetween Festival group on Facebook. Updates about the festival, site preparations and events within the festival will be posted there, as well as photos from previous years and comments. There is a discussion board for people to use to organise travel, talk about ideas and projects. Let us know what you want to do, and we will do everything we can to facilitate.
If you are not on Facebook, there is a festival email list that periodic updates will be sent to. To subscribe, send a blank email to:

We'd like to invite you to spend a few days resting up, gathering energy and inspiration and just enjoying the bush with us in a lovely forest valley with a permanently flowing creek, flat grassy spots with morning shade to camp, plenty of space to run around and bush to explore. The venue has some basic infrastructure, such as toilets, a cooking and washing area, a lounge space under a large marquee with chill sound system and more. The rest is up to you (and of course, whatever surprises we can cook up!).

Possibilities include bushwalking, swimming, dancing to spontaneous DJ sets and live music, building balancing rock sculptures in the creek, spontaneous circus, outreach camping, twirling and juggling workshops and drumming circles. Maybe help the area with an hour or two of treeplanting or bush regeneration work, make some art, or just kick back and relax in the heated outdoor bathtub.

The festival program operates from the 9th to the 15th, with the site open for early arrivals on the 5th by arrangement (please contact the Site Management).

BYO everything. Friendly animals welcome!

If you are interested, join the InBetween Festival group on Facebook. If you are not on facebook, send an email to info@inbetweenfestival.org.

Hope to see you there!
