The basis of the story is a series of letters exchanged between Janet and Daniel while he is stranded on the pleasure planet, and interspersed by small scenes of Teal'c talking to each of them. It is basically a 'morning after the night before' fic complicated by the the fact that the two participants  are separated by thousands of light years.

It's a fun story to read, especially since Daniel and Janet is a rare  pairing in fandom. At times I had problems with salutations such as "My dearest Daniel", "honey", and other terms of endearment, but I think
that is mainly because  they're terms we've never heard the characters utter on the show.

The letters are mingled with small vignettes, some of them just a few lines long,  which attempt to give the impression that the reader is along for a three week 'ride' with Janet and Daniel as the letters are
exchanged. The two authors took  turns sending each other 'letters' from the two characters, which they
used to create this fic, and this adds to the feeling of reality in the story.

Occasionally we get to peek into Janet's and Daniel's thoughts, which exposes to us the real root of the problem: a simple miscommunication that is complicated by a three week separation and the fact that they have no way to talk to each other privately. It gives you the chance to crawl into Daniel or Janet's head and put yourself into their shoes.

Although at times Janet's portrayal is a bit too flowery for my taste, it is a fun story to read and a good attempt to explore one of the more overlooked ship pairings. The premise is a bit of a cliché but that
doesn't diminish from it being a fun, lighthearted read and certainly worth a look.
