Convention Logo

** Our OFFICIAL Logo **

Logo description:

The logo picture's top section (shown in green and white vertical stripes) depicts the Adelaide Convention Centre's roof - which is world famous. The vertical panels beneath (shown in red and white stripes) depict the supporting beams of the building. Naturally, this is all a simplified version, as well as being an easily reproducible and stylised depiction.

The logo picture's bottom red, white and green horizontal stripe represents the River Torrens flowing past the Convention Centre.

On most other continents, rivers usually connect different countries / nations / nationalities. In this picture, the River Torrents figuratively connects Hungarians from all over the world - but more specifically, it connects all the Hungarians in Australia and New Zealand - represented by the globe in the center. The river also symbolises the past and the future - it starts somewhere and flows somewhere else.

The building, the river and the globe come together to resemble a great open eye. This represents the openness of the Hungarian nation, as well as Australia and New Zealand's openness to foreign nationalities as well.

Logo text:

Above the image, the first half of the heading: "15th Australia-New Zealand" is coloured red, whilst the bottom half "Hungarian Cultural Convention" is in green, and the two are separated by a blank white space - which, when shown together like this, depict the Hungarian national colours.

The bottom text: "Adelaide 2013-2014" references the name of the Convention's host city and year in which it will be held.
