An outstanding effort by Chikara Budo students today at NAS. Excellent courage was displayed by Alex Lazar and Chris Morecroft who both entered for their first tournaments and both coming away with 1st place trophies.

Alex displayed a strong performance of Gekasai dai ichi in his division for 1st in forms. Chris toughed it out in several rounds for 1st in sparring, 2nd in continuous and competed against more experience opponents for 2nd in Forms

Natasha eyed off her opponents in forms for her division to realise she was up against all males. Strength and spirit came through her Sepai for a well placed third.

Dominic fought off a very fast opponent and came in 2nd for sparring. Finally he and Chris had to face off in continous. Fellow Chikara Budo students were cheering for them both and they both fought hard to the point of both receiving warnings. Chris pipped Dominic at the post for 2nd so Dominic came 3rd.
