The first beach training for 2007 on Monday February 19th was huge - literally. The massive waves threatened to wash some our smaller students away but teaming them up with a bigger student kept everyone safe and sound. We all had a great (if exhausting) time. It was inspiring to see the students rise to the challenge of facing the huge surf waist deep, bowing then throwing themselves into their kata. We also had a beach training session for the last class of the year which as usual was a fantastic time with perfect conditions for the beach.

Our annual christmas picnic was held on Sunday 9th December 2007 at the Woodhouse Activity Centre. Everyone worked up a huge appetite getting stuck into Challenge Hill. It was a great time especially seeing parents having a go at all the obstacles as well. After getting through the course (twice for the diehards) we all got together for a feed. Many thanks to Arndre for cooking up a storm on the barbie and James for supplying the meat.
