UNCLE - Internode usage meter home page

This usage meter is written for Mac OSX and supports all current internode plans (Premium/Flatrate) for PADSL customers. UNCLE is written in RealBasic V5.5 for Mac OSX. The only versions of OSX I have tested on is 10.2 and 10.3 It will not work under Macos 9 or lower. NB! There appears to be a bug in RealBasic 5.5 that will cause UNCLE to crash if v1.6 is the first version of uncle you have been using. As a workaround download v1.4 and use it to store your username and password in your login keychain. After this upgrade to 1.6a Download version 1.6a Here

Uses a 7 day rolling total

Transfer error box now auto closes after 60 second.  Small bug in drawing the percentage used on a premium plane in the dock icon is now fixed. Please redownload uncle.

New in version 1.4:

A serious bug has been fixed. The usage meter should behave correctly now for an account that has less than 30 days in it. On the stats page a grand total off all your downloads with internode since you joined has been added. A bug that would remove up to 30 days from your total days with internode has also been fixed.  Please upgrade to this version.

Copied another page from MUM. UNCLE now has a internode tab with useful information and links like MUM.

the stats page now tells you what your 30 day rolling total is when you are on premium and your current usage this period if you are on flatrate. This so you can make a educated choice about what plan type is best for you.

New in version 1.2:

Moved the debug/tryout settings to the file-debug menu item. Selecting this will bring up a sheet window where you can force UNCLE to view your plan as you want it. This is mainly for testing purposes. But it can also be used to simulate excess charges on a premium plan with a lower quota. these settings are not remembered after quitting UNCLE.

In the settings page you can now configure UNCLE to start up in a hidden state. This is for those of you who use the icon to read the state of your account. For people on premium accounts you can also configure UNCLE to cycle between showing %used and MB used on your premium plan in the dock icon. You can also vary the cycle time between 3 and 60 seconds.

And these settings are now stored when UNCLE shuts down.

Again I have more than likely introduced even more features. Please tell me if you discover any.

Known bugs.

Specifying read data from disk will crash UNCLE if you have not selected save data to disk and closed the debug window and pressed update on the usage page in UNCLE. After this you can press read data from disk to enable you to do updates as often as you want. These updates will come from disk and not from internodes accounting system.

New in version 1.1:

Added a new page showing a few stats about your usage.

It shows the numbers of days you have been with the 'node

it shows you your worst 30 days rolling average since joining the 'node. This pretends that you have been on flatrate the whole time. Use this to determine if it is "safe" to switch back to premium now that the quotas has been increased!

It also shows you your worst day (in terms of MB downloaded) in the time you have been with the 'node

I also cleaned up the drawing of the dock icon and made it optional

I also probably introduced a whole slew of new 'features' so please report them to ivarh @ internode.on.net if you spot them!

Known bugs:

Does not remember any settings except username/password

On the panther betas it does not work. Buy the retail version!
