Software   

The most important thing to establish, when downloading software, is that the site you get it from is reputable and virus free. There are a number of sites I go to for software that I trust completely and go back to often. I will share with you the safe ones. Beware some of the sites recommended in Newsgroup postings; they may not always be virus safe.

Freeware Sites

These sites offer software which is free and has no date, or other, restrictions. The standard of software on freeware sites is amazing; I reckon it's just as good as some shareware programmes.

Shareware sites

This is a huge site which has every piece of shareware imaginable and has to be the leader in file downloading. Be sure to also visit Shareware.com, Browsers.com and all the other excellent sites in the group.

Another huge site which seems to specialise in zip files. The whole site has many features, including links to the ZDnet university which teaches computer expertise for a small fee. Well worth a visit.

This is the site I visit first for any internet related software. It is brilliant.
