Open Frontpage Express
Choose "New"
1. Decide what you are going to have as your background; you can have either a plain colour or choose a backgroup .jpg graphic file. In Frontpage Express choose Format, then Background.

If it's to be a plain colour then click on the drop down menus and choose the colours you want for the background and text. If you'd like a patterned background, tick the box next to "Background Image", scroll to your website folder by clicking "Browse", click on the graphic, then "Open" and "OK". You should now have your patterned background. Then, save your new page as " your page title" to your website folder.. My background here is saved as webauthor2.htm.
2. Now it's time to choose your font, colour and size.

The popup menus will allow you to personalise your page with many different fonts, styles, colours and ways of displaying them. You can adjust the size by clicking on the big and small "A", choose whether you want the text to be italic, bold or underlined. The palette icon on the taskbar menu displays the available colours. Once you have chosen your preferences click on the "save" icon. I recommend saving your page every few minutes so that, if you make a mistake at the bottom, you won't have to do the whole page again.
