SPARE PARTS

One of the things that we are all acutely aware of is the cost of G Wagen parts. While it is not possible to get all parts from sources outside of Mercedes Benz Australia, there are many items available that are either OEM, or OEM quality and available from external sources at significantly discounted prices.

I am fortunate to have a friend in the parts importation business who has been of great personal assistance to me and now to other members of AGOA. Although his company does not specialise Mercedes-Benz parts he has so far brought in (at very reasonable prices):

bulletBrake Rotors;
bulletBrake Pads;
bulletGKN Springs;
bulletEngine Mounts;
bulletGas Shock Absorbers; and more

To give an indication of pricing, Brake Rotors are approximately $75 each (+GST) as compared to more than $300 each for MB genuine. Lip gas shockers (made in Europe and OE on many European vehicles) are around $90 each (+GST). Please note that these prices may change from time to time depending on market fluctuations.

European Auto Imports Pty Ltd are the company assisting us and you can either contact Stephen on (03) 9899 6683, stephen@eai.net.au or check out their web site at www.eai.net.au Please Note that this is not Stephen's core business and he is doing this to help us out. He does not keep stock of these parts other than maybe Brake Pads if you are lucky. All items will be special order and will take between 8 and 12 weeks to arrive. Stephen will be happy to send your parts to you but please understand that shipping is an additional cost.

If there is a particular item you think might be good for a bulk purchase then let us know and we may be able to get an even better deal on some items.

Specials

December 2006 - EAI currently have some LPR (European) Brake pads available for sale at a special AGOA price of $50 (+GST) a set. Contact Stephen at EAI.

If you know alternative sources for parts or even workshops that are experienced in G's then let us know so that we can share the knowledge.
