The AGOA Treffen 2007

Pre-trip April 2007

On Anzac Day (25th April) 2007, five AGOA members set off in three vehicles to have a look at our proposed focus for the AGOA Treffen 2007 - Mt Terrible. This is where the G-Wagen was launched to the Australian Press back in November 1982 and is the reason why we have chosen to celebrate 25 years of the G Wagen in Australia by a revisit to Mt Terrible.

AGOA Members, Steve Sheers, Matt Cupper, Martin Sherrard and Rob Weigl, met at John Kenny's house and after a few quick introductions the five members headed off in a three vehicle convoy towards the East of Melbourne and our jumping-off point to the Victorian High Country. Unfortunately Rob has not got his G-Wagen registered as yet and so had to bring his Land Rover along but it was still great to see two G's travelling together - imagine what 20 or more would look like!. Over the next 3 days we had an absolutely great time and the group are already planning a Sunset Country (Victorian Desert) tour for Winter.

A full report on the Treffen Pre-trip will be in the next G'ocentric but until then click on some of the thumbnails below to see some photos of our trip. (Photos by John Kenny)
