Loneliness

Joseph K Stephen 11 April 2007

People always talking,

but not to me,

like looking for fresh water,

in the middle of the sea.

Alone in the crowds,

Alone in my family,

Alone in the church

and in a strange country

People always looking,

We're a curiosity,

An exhibit of strange interest,

that people pay to see.

Misunderstood, misrepresented,

Different to the rest,

Culturally not accepted

and so obviously expressed.

Lord Jesus, a man of sorrows,

was rejected and despised,

knows loneliness at its worst,

and can truly empathize.

My LORD let not me fail to be,

there for others who are just like me.

Let thy consolation flow

to another heart that's feeling low.
