David Follett studied at the University of South Australia (BA Design, Illustration) and the Adelaide Central School of Art.
He has made some semblance of a living by doing storyboards (TVC’s and film) for Anifex, Clemenger, Singleton Ogilvy One, Young & Rubicam, the South Australian Film Corporation, Adelaide Motion Picture Company, Rising Sun Pictures, and Ratbag Computer Games. He has done layouts, backgrounds, model sheets and character designing for animation, film and computer games. David has also illustrated theatre posters, kids books, christmas cards, educational comics and done court sketching.
Since winning the Bill Mitchell Award in 2000, David has been a regular artist for The Australian Newspaper, The Weekend Australian and the Daily Telegraph.
His comic strips 'Harry the Dog- NewsHound' and 'Kookabarry' are published weekly in the Sunday Telegraph.
He now resides in Sydney, Australia. For now... |
