The birth of the computer week, i learnt lots this week O_o

Hey everybody,
Just my weekly update on how stuff is going in my life in NCT!
This week, the lecture was quite interesting, with my learning a bit more about the background of the common computer, and how they all started with the mac and stuff. It was pretty interesting. I mean, being the nerdy being i am.... i already knew about most of the stuff that was discussed, which really only made it more interesting because i actually knew what was happening! finally something in uni that makes sense :)

that said, we watched a bit more of alphaville... that movie is so boring, yet so random. i love it.

And now for my Review for what i've seen so for of alphaville!!!

Alphaville, is what at the time probably would have been an excellent movie for it?s time, but now seems somewhat dated, and considerably illogical. The movie stinks of low budget filming, and poor script writing. The movie soundtrack, also seems quite random, and in my opinion, seemed to push the wrong mood for scenes. Scary orchestral tracks often play at seemingly random times, when really really non-scary things are happening, for example, the operating of a light switch, or a photo being taken. Considering when it was made however, this movie was probably trend setting for many films that were to be made afterwards, and it is my feeling that movies such as 2001 a space odyssey, used this film for ideas.
