Travelling Tutor
Painting “en plein air” encourages an artist to paint in various locations. Therefore, Terry in his travels, can visit you locality and conduct tutorials/workshops to suit your needs. These can be for 2 days or more, specifically designed to meet your needs as a group.

Terry is Director of the School of Art at Victor Harbor & has been the principal teacher at the school for 12 years. Included in this has been the “Beginners” classes for oil & watercolour painting, which have been a great success.
Philosophy:- This school favours the vision of the impressionists artists and has designed its teaching accordingly. It also subscibes to the principle, like in any subject or faculty, that to achieve freedom of expression through the study of drawing, design, tonal values & colour, coupled with a knowledge of materials.
Drawing: focus on -traditional sharp focus drawing created form, aerial space and the feeling of textures. also creative & expressive drawing techniques can be explored.
Watercolour: leads naturally from drawing but there is special emphasis on working wet and glazing. In addition many other specific watercolour techniques are employed to create textures.
Oil Painting: with a main focus on tonal impressionism and building up the painting from thin to thick paint, from dark to light, creating depth and texture in a painting that can be created only with oils.
Pastels: again with a focus on the various techniques that can be employed in the use of this exiting medium.

Minimum 2 days during the week or weekend.
$500 per day per group (assuggested by the Australian Guild of Realist Artists-AGRA) or by negotiation.
Car Mileage $0.40 per km return to Victor Harbor Plus Accomadation/or a place to park the camper-van and a shower if possible!
