This is a single TR4 based level exclusive to The Times newspaper (The Times sponsored the original expeditions which resulted in the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb earlier this century). The game is stand-alone, PC only, but it can be run as a custom level using the Mac TR Level Player, which is included with the TR Chronicles release! You will need access to Virtual PC or a real PC to install it, and then some of the files need to be transferred to the Mac to play in the Level Player (see below for more details). The level is quite short, and not very difficult, but is well designed and quite interesting. Not to mention familiar to players of The Last Revelation who have watched the Title flyby right through! It is the only remaining TR game not ported to Mac, and is never likely to be, so the ability to play it using the Mac custom TR Level Player is probably the only way most MacRaiders will get the chance! The Story Lara learns from a contact at The Times (during a cut-scene at the start of the level, unfortunately not available for Mac viewing) that there have been new discoveries in Tutankhamun's tomb, so she goes to Egypt to investigate. And it's doubtful that it ever will be, at least officially... It is a single level, not too long or difficult, but nice looking and good fun to play, and some of the rooms are very similar to those in the Title flyby that runs behind the Last Revelation Main Menu. If you want to complete your TR collection, then you should try to get this one! This download (TR_Times.exe) is difficult to find now, but at late 2007 is available at Lara's Levelbase and on Stella's site, on her TR 4 Download page. It was originally only available from The Times Newspaper's Lara Croft website which is now defunct, and was a download of around 33MB which includes a couple of simple TR-orientated puzzles which are PC only. The Times download is about 33 MB, and is posted as a PC-only EXE, so you'll need access to a PC or PC Emulator (like Virtual PC) to install the standalone game. Then the relevant files can be transferred to the Mac and played using the TR Level Player, included with the TR Chronicles release on the TR Editor disk.
