About us

In October, 1999 we moved into the home we built at Encounter Bay, South Australia. This is about 90km south of the state capital of Adelaide, on the south coast. map

We have four children, residing in areas as far apart as Queensland, and the Adelaide northern suburbs.

Both of us are very involved in the Gliding (Soaring) movement.

For 6 years, until February 1999, Noel was the editor of the national magazine "Australian Gliding". He is a pilot of 40 years with the Balaklava Gliding Club, based at Whitwarta, about 100km north of Adelaide.

Beverley is involved with the Regional Association [the S.A. Gliding Assoc.] as Public Relations Officer, Trophies Officer, and Archivist.

Also, she is the creator and Administrator of the Australian Soaring Web Site. This site has been on the web since early 1995.
Also the SA Gliding Assoc. site. Beverley is also the co-ordinator of the S.A. Gliding History Trust. The history collection includes photos, memorabilia and written records of the history of the gliding movement in the state since the formation of the first "club" in 1924.

We joined one of the many Probus clubs in this area, the Probus Club of Port Victor Combined

We have also, for many years, been providing recipes and advise to people needing to follow a Gluten Free Diet.
A section of this site includes information in that area.

Beverley also provides advise to people on managing Multiple Sclerosis.
