Sirius is proving to be another special hound. He has many BOB wins and most
noteably was awarded Group 3 at the Adelaide Royal Show '05, after his dam, Matilda did the same only the year before. Sirius won 'Best in Show' at the NSW Specialty in '06 under
specialist Per Lunsdtrom - Tirowen's 20th Specialty BIS win.
Critique from judge Per Lundstrom Sweden
My challenge dog and best of breed winner, Ch Tirowen Sirius is an excellent representative of the breed and in my opinion could compete anywhere in the world.
He has a masculine head, with that soft expression we are looking for. Level planes, correct rose ears, correct bite with a strong underjaw. His outline is excellent built on s-curves we look for with excellent proportion between length and height. Strong powerful neck with an excellent arch which flows nicely in to the well laid back shoulders. Strong topline with arch over the loin. Excellent croup and hindquarters, with low set hocks. Lovely width over thigh and hocks. Excellent forechest and ribcage, which is well ribbed back. Long very good upperarm, a bit steep in pastern. Excellent bone and feet. Very good coat. Lovely temperament. In excellent muscle condition all over. Completely true coming and going. Excellent easy and active movement from the side showing breed type to perfection.
I also awarded him best hindquarters and best male head.
Sirius has now sired several promising litters both in Australia and overseas. His young offspring have already started to prove themselves in the ring with great success with
regular 'Group' and 'In Show' placings & his first Champion son is an All Breeds 'Best in Show' winner. And now his daughter, Circe, is a Specialty Best in Show winner with his son from the same litter, FJ, Runner Up Best in Show at the NSW Specialty in '08.
