What is Chiropractic? Chiropractic is concerned with the healthy functioning of the nervous system. The nervous system controls the function of every cell, tissue and organ in your whole body. If the nervous system is not functioning properly then neither will the tissue it supplies. Traditionally chiropractors have used spinal adjustments, or manipulation, to improve the nervous system's function. This is still the case, but today's deeper understanding of how the body functions allows us to utilize many different approaches. What can Chiropractic help? Chiropractic is most associated with back pain, and with good reason, as many trials have shown it to be very effective in treating this, more so than conventional approaches. Chiropractic also has a proven record in treating headache, neck pain, migraine, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, and many other problems. Less well known is that chiropractic can help infantile colic, glue ear, and sometimes even attention deficit disorder and learning difficulties. Many different problems may be helped by chiropractic. If you are unsure whether we can help you phone our office and arrange a time for one of our chiropractors to call you to discuss your problem. |
