Video Chatroom and Video Conferencing:
Participants of the real-time video chatroom (now activated) can type text messages to other cyber-chatters and see video images even if they don't have their own video facilities connected to their computer. Because video streaming over the internet is bandwidth sensitive, the number of people able to participate in a chatroom will vary depending on individual modem bandwidth - the lower the bandwidth, the less people can participate.

Video Conferencing with audio/video internet capabilities (yet to be activated) may need to book ahead for on-line conferences. The broadband video conferencing hub is nearly up and running to provide multiple audio/video streams of DVD-quality between computers with broadband internet connections of 1+mb/s. A schedule of daily live broadcasts from various churches, lecturers and conferences will be available for your viewing in the near future - including correspondence courses from Bible colleges.

Java Chatroom:
For anyone accessing a chatroom here for the first time, you may need to install a java program (click here and select the "Windows" download) before the chatroom will work. However, everytime you access a chatroom thereafter, it will start straight away seeing as the java software is already installed on your computer. For experienced cyber-chatters, the standard Internet Relay Chat (IRC) commands apply seeing as the chatrooms are linked to the worldwide IRC network.
To initiate a chat session, you might like to email some friends first to invite them into the chatroom (just tell them to go to this webpage and click on the room name below) seeing as this website is not very well known yet and it is unlikely that there is already someone in the chatroom waiting for you to arrive.

Seeing as the chatrooms are unmoderated, the conduct of all participants is self-governed.
