Trips are planned for weekends through-out the year. If all the bus seating and surfboarding is booked out, you can still meet us at the beach if you have your own transportation and surfboard(s).

Where do we surf?.....We like to get around and pretty much wait until the saturday morning to decide which beach we go to so we can get the best surf on the day - even then, we can end up going to different beaches through-out the day to catch the best surf. If we are travelling for more than an hour or so, we then like to plan in advance because we may need accomodation, extra food, etc. Surfing trips that head off on the Friday night and camp over for a day's surfing on Saturday are common. We have a portable BBQ and marquees to provide some pretty-rad, decent shelter. With an open fire, food, good company and plenty of surf......what more could ya want!
SURF TRIP TO COFFS HARBOUR - 10th-16th August.....including whitewater rafting, crazy horse riding, mountain climbing and camping. Accommodation is B&B style in male and female dormatories. Limited seats available so bookings are essential. Costs vary depending on what activities you want to do, so contact us for prices.
Where do we meet?.....Here is a small map or large map showing where we meet. We also travel through Glenelg, Brighton and Seacliff to pick up people who live in those areas. A donation is welcomed to assist in the expenses.

Who is Luke Drummond?.....Luke loves living to the extreme as much as he loves God [more info]. He organises and runs the Surfing Ministry and maintains the 19-seater Coaster bus that we use for the surfing trips. He also loves snowboarding and likes the idea that Sanctuary Baptist Church is planning quite a few trips to the snow this year. The church owns piles of snowboards and snow gear, so it is "on for young and old". His involvement in Sanctuary Baptist Church includes driving the bus on Sundays, helping with the service preparation and running meetings at our Sanctuary Shop.
Sharing God's Message?....We love having fun, but there is more to life than what we see around us - this is why we are Christians. We can have fun AND have eternal life. God is amazing and when we yield our life to Him, we experience life to the fullest. Click here to find out how to get to heaven. The surfing ministy therefore includes sharing our faith in God in a variety of ways - such as Bible DVD's shown on the in-bus TV whilst travelling, Gospel music being played, Bible studies on the beach and one-on-one discussions about God, the Bible and how to live God's way (....in between catching waves!).
How do we travel?....We have both a 19-seater Coaster bus and a 22-seater Mazda bus each fitted out with TV and DVD player, awesome sound system ('tis loud!) and we tow a trailer with waterproof, locable canopy and surfboard racks. We are currently purchasing more wetsuits and 35 surfboards so that we have everything we need to have a good day's surfing (....of course, God provides the waves to surf on). For smaller groups, we use our 4x4 Pathfinder to save on fuel (it also provides transportation for all the surf shop requirements). We are currently purchasing a beach buggy to get out onto the beaches and to use for promotional purposes - it will also tow a jet ski. You can bring your own surfboard on our trips if you are already a surfer.
