The CFS offers a range of roles including:

  • Operational Support
  • Community Education
  • Fundraising.

You will be working side by side with other volunteers in times of emergency and you will learn new and valuable skills that will assist you in day-to-day life and in your workplace.
Most of all you get to help make your community a safer place to live in and enjoy the support of the rest of your community for your efforts.
All members of the Service will tell you that the personal benefits they receive more than compensate for the time invested.
The Meningie Brigade trains every Monday night from 1930 to approximately 2130 hours.

If you are interested in joining the Meningie Country Fire Service Brigade you will firstly need to supply 100 point of identification.  This is used to create a criminal history background check.  Once received back all clear you will be required to complete a Basic firefighting course.  This is conducted over one weekend and once accepted by the Brigade you will be permitted to attend emergency incidents.  For more information on recruitment or on how to become a volunteer please visit here or visit the Meningie Brigade recruitment page here.
