Buoyage information  2011 Goolwa-Meningie Sailing Classic  Clayton and Narrung Narrows (as at 9th November 2011)

The following buoyage information has been supplied by Dept Planning & Infrastructure

Additional notes for Narrung Narrows.

1.      The embankment shown within the yellow buoys has been removed

2.    There is a pinky looking buoy directly off the end of the Narrung jetty.

It is just a water intake marker and has no navigation significance, vessels can pass either side. It is not shown on this picture.

You are reminded about Sailing Instruction 22.2

“Competitors remain solely responsible for the seaworthiness of a boat whose entry is accepted and the sufficiency or adequacy of its equipment.

Competitors shall accept that their participation in the Event is at their exclusive risk in every respect.”

I have been advised that a D.P.T.I. vessel may be present on the course conducting vessel checks for safety equipment.

As you may be sailing in semi-protected and unprotected waters you need to carry the appropriate safety equipment for that area.
