Learn to Sail

This sailing season (2008 – 2009) our younger sailors will be participating with our more experienced sailors during the race events.

There won’t be any specific “Learn to Sail” sessions, but a “Learn On the Job” approach will be taken.

So if you want to learn how to sail, come along and join us at the club a couple of hours before race time,

We’ll try our best to get you on to a yacht, so that you can experience the joy of sailing!!

If you ever wanted to start from the beginning, or perhaps you have been sailing before, these two groups are the place to start off “Learning once more”.

Learn to Sail is divided into two groups which have combined to meet at 10am – 12noon.

1. The Basic Skills group.

(This session is supported by our older teenage group assisting the learners & thus is a great way to impart some of their hard earned skills.

2. The Racing Skills group.

(This group competes well with each other to further enhance existing skills & even learn a new trick or two).
