The
Novavoce Acoustics curved cabinets highlight the nature grain
of the exotic Australian timbers used, it also provides an excellent
method of housing the highest quality drivers and components
used.
The
concept of the curve enclosure is to minimize the internal standing
waves within the speaker enclosure. This concept is not new,
it was developed in the early 1950s where research showed the
best shape of an enclosure was the humble sphere, however the
manufacturing issues with a spherical enclosure are still impractical.
Novavoce
Acoustics loudspeakers supports the basic principal of simplicity
within enclosure shapes, being an asymmetrical curved triangle,
which has one less sides then the traditional rectangular box
making the curved box much stronger. None of the enclosure panels
are parallel with each other and it also eliminates the need
for one joint. The top and bottom panels support the crossovers
and speaker binding posts, which also contribute to the enclosure
diffraction.
