| ESSAYS AND SUCH LIKE: The Socio-liguistic features of Internet-Relay-Chat (IRC) - not the original essay, the nicks have been deleted for privacy. What is Gothic?: An Exploration of Youth Culture - this I'd like opinions on, on the points you agree with, and the points you don't. FICTION AND POETRY: Poetry is not my forte, but I have done a teeny bit of writing it. Here eventually will be some of the stuff I can still look at without cringing, once I've typed it up. Fiction is where I wish to end up, so any thoughts will be most welcome (except "it's good" - don't waste my time with crap). The Cafe - inspired by Van Gogh's "Cafe at Night", see if you can find the picture too. 10:15 on a Saturday Night - there's enough inter-textual referencing here to keep most goffs happy, but still very accessible as a story. The Revenge - written during the phase when I was dead sure an ex of mine was going to hunt me down and kill me, or have someone else do it for him. Malignantwas written for the Advertiser Short Story Competition. Surprise, surprise, it didn't get published. Pure as Driven Snow - My take on the traditional fairy tale. I only read Tanith Lee's version after writing this, so any similarites are pure coincidence. The Formal Dance - written for Uni as part of a subject called writing lives. Most of it is autobiographical. |
