Chaos/AlCuBUS
|
Age: 14
Point of Origin: Earth/Hell
Powers: Molecular Transmutation, Radioactive demon spirit
Threat Level: 10
Penny Tibaldi was suffering from a rare form of leukaemia and was under the care of the city's top scientists (Dr Biff Bateman
and Marla Manners) in an attempt to find a cure. She got more than she bargained for when she was transfused with a blood sample from Devil Doll by accident. The demon blood reacted with her cancer cells
to create a semi-intelligent creature calling itself AlCuBUS, which lives inside Penny's body. Penny can control AlCuBUS to change the atomic structure
of her own body or of objects around her, making her extremely powerful.
With training she is also able to release AlCuBUS from her body for short periods- he manifests as a radioactive spirit that detsroys everything in his path.
Penny is able to affect her oppoents in anumber of ways, using her transmutation powers to set fire to them, encase them in solid glass
or just directly dissolve their atomic structure. She is also able to change her own atomic strusture without harm to herself, becoming a poisonous gas cloud
or radioactive uranium, to name but a few effects.
Despite her raw power, Penny is still physically a teenage girl (albeit a metal, stone or rubber one, depending on the day of the week), and can be knocked out
fairly easily. She is however, pretty much immune to most attacks in gaseous form, and will often use this tactic to avoid harm until she
can put some distance between herself and her opponents. When she is able to release AlCuBUS it is often advantageous to do so, as long as Penny's inert body is under no immediate threat while he's out.
Penny has positively embraced her transformation, despite Biff Bateman's misgivings and guilt towards it. She has at times displayed a bit of a condescending attitude towards
humanity, and seems to want everything to change more quickly than it can. Both Bateman and Manners are obviously concerned by AlCuBUS's demonic presence and Penny's
constant talking to herself/him, but she seems to treat him more like a kid brother or friend than anything more sisnister.
