Mission 7: Stranger Than You

Jimmy Jupiter arrives in between missions - the most unreliable of all the Strangers. His attacks vary wildly in damage due to the Fluctuation attribute, he normally shrugs off most attacks but when he does take damage he can fall pretty quickly due to his low hit points.

Anyway - Mission 7, a good old fashioned slugfest! And you can take whoever you like along!

All you have to do is defeat the army of nine supervillains, and then take down the king of clubs and his robot duplicates, hopefully whilst protecting your three nerdy fans. The consequences of failing this secondary objective are pretty bad - you lose prestige and the team you selected for this mission can't take part in the next one, which is a major two-parter!

The superarmy breaks down as follows:
Demonika - a mini devil doll with cloning abilities. Send in your ranged attackers to ice her fast! This should be your top priority! Don't let her get near Devil Doll, as she'll create a clone feddback loop by creating clones of DD who use summon and destruction curse and soon you're all standing around with clones exploding helplessly! (fun to watch though!)
Queen Zero - king zero clone, throws ice grenades and freezes opponents
Adam Ronz - dwarfish Adam Zorn, hangs around on a rooftop shooting people and always teleports away when you go near. The only characters who can touch him are the Spider (long range web) and Jimmy/Fly/Anemone by throwing cars at him. He is off course immune to Adam Zorn's Q-Beams (and vice versa)
Anchovy - wierd bendy anemone with melee attacks, octopus ink squirt, enrage attack and car throwing tactics
The Fly - you'll see him pretty soon, he heads straight for the heroes. Keep him at a distance. He packs a mean punch (KB and stun) and very little else.
SpiderMan - shapechanges between human form and ant form. More insulting than threatening. He uses a taser in ant form that can be annoying.
Adam Zero - the toughest villain - equipped with density max beam for use against fliers, and a freeze ray as well as powerful melee attacks.
Devil Fly - hypnosis and acid attacks. Keep Jimmy Jupiter away from him! He's vulnerable to acid (or at least not invulnerable) and a hypnotised Jimmy is a pain in the ass since he's fast and can dish out the damage to most of his teammates.
Sea Spider - very annoying due to her web beams, she'll keep buzzing your team and dissappearing.

King of clubs robots:
The only way to tell the real king of clubs apart from the robots is by the vulnerability icons on the status bar - the king is resistant to heat and energy, the robots have the usual profile of metal objects. (Also anmeone's scan will immediately identify the real king too). The real king also has a couple of powers that his robots don't- an irradiating beam attack and a heat based area attack. When a robot takes damage, it is likely to go beserk. It will run towards the nearest hero at high speed and then explode in a multiple fireball before dying. So is you see a robot running at you get out of the way! (it'll explode where the hero was when it flipped rather than chase you)

Analyze commands:-
Either the spider or the fly can analyse the supervillains or the king of clubs. But only one can carry out the follow up actions - if the other one isnt there they'll just bemoan that fact.

The Spider is almost essential here. After a villain has been analysed she can mix an antidote from her webbing and perfume, and squirt it onto the villains to turn them back into normal people (or two of clubs in the case of the three 'composite' villains). The antidote stuns them for a second or two, after which they explode and transform, either into a normal human 'guinea pig' as seen in the Mission Briefing, or a two of clubs if they're a composite character (Adam Zero, Devil Fly, SeaSpider). Mixing the antidote takes a few seconds uninterrupted, so get Marla somewhere safe to do this.

When the robots appear, the fly can tune his helmet to produce a counter frequency to block their radio control. This will permanently mental blank any robot he comes near. As usual, he requires a few seconds uninterrupted to tune his helmet.

Combo Moves:
Jimmy brings a couple of new combos with him.
Q+ beam. By punching Adam Zorn he can charge Adam up for an almighty Q+ beam, which cause Adam to Trigger an area atack around himself when fired. Jimmy has a slight chance of stunning Adam, so be careful with this one.
U-Bomb: Chaos can make a uranium discus for Jimmy to throw. This is a radiation projectile with very long range and its chained - so it bounces off one opponent to another.

(Both these moves are useless againat the King of Clubs,by the way. He eats energy and radiation for breakfast!)

Team selection:
The Spider! Number one - must take her for her antidote-creation commands.
King Zero - with fireballs flying everywhere, its time to leave him at home with a copy of the Times for a few missions. He is very vulnerable to heat and folds quickly, even with Ice Armour
Jimmy Jupiter - this is a good place to watch him in action, and get a handle on him. Like I said he's not that reliable, though. And keep him away from acid using characters.
Adam Zorn - good for getting to the fans quickly and taking out demonika. Useless against the kings energy absorbtion, but its still cool to watch him bounce fireballs off his body in the second stage. Very useful for distracting the robots in fact.
Anemone - tough, able to stay the distance, telepathic scan, good vs the king of clubs. I'd say yes.
Devil Doll - heat resistant at least. Her cloning is kind of useless against the king of clubs because he rarely hurts himself and just creates more carnage. Similarly, hells gate is no use against the King of Clubs. Cloning the super-army takes too long and there are quicker methods of dealing with them.
Chaos - pretty much no pros or cons. She'll whittle the opposition down slowly as usual, while remaining untouched. If you do take her, do a quick check to see if she's made of ice by checking the status bar on her. If she is, restart. I know its cheating kind of. Penny will really come into her own next mission.
The Fly- he can blank the robots and he can take down the King of Clubs pretty well (in giant form). Not bad.

To take down the King of Clubs you need a good old fashioned crushing damage melee fighter. Anemone or the Fly in giant form can wipe the floor with him if they get in close.
