Image Information: 1280 x 1024. Rendered in Cinema4D with Geometry anti-aliasing, full reflection, a light fog and no shadows. The render time
was 54 minutes and no post-processing was used other than to insert the copyright notice and signature. The sky texture was taken
from the hill near my house in Adelaide with a Hewlett-Packard Photosmart 120 digital camera.
Artistic Information: This was one of my first efforts with Cinema4D and consists primarily of simple primitives with heavy reliance on textures
created in Photoshop for colouring, luminosity, reflection and bump mapping. The scene contains a whopping 1,525 light sources mainly as the
streetlights along the tracks. All but one of these are Instance objects replicating the one streetlight I actually modelled. Overall lighting
is 3 Omni lights placed at a great distance from the scene. The excessive number of lights was the major cause of the long render time. The
same image rendered without the streetlights took less than 60 seconds!
