The render time was 1 hour 23 minutes. The slogan at the top and the Quanrazia logo were added afterwards in Photoshop as extra
layers, with the Drop Shadow layer style on the text layer and Outer Glow, Inner Bevel and Gradient Overlay on the 'Q' layer in
Quanrazia.
Artistic Information: In this image I experimented with the Caustics and Radiosity settings in Cinema4D. Caustics is the light-focusing
effect that occurs when the sun is focused through a magnifying glass, for example. Here you can see this effect on the table next to
the magnifying glass and also in front of the curved mirror, as well as around the glass objects. The maths involved in computing this
behaviour of light is intensive and this was reflected in the long render time for this otherwise simple image. Quanrazia is a mythical
instrument manufacturer featured in the Arnagest project, and I created this image to look like a glossy magazine ad of the sort that
such a company might use.
