Image Information: 1280 x 1024. Yet another straight Terragen render with no post-processing. The map size was 512 x 512, generated
using World Machine. This is a dedicated landscape-generation program with some very powerful filters for simulating erosion and
weathering. More slope- ad height-based distribution was used to lay down the snow over the rocks. Render time was 26 minutes.
Artistic Information: Here I decided to put the camera very close to the landscape, to test Terragen's procedural texturing. Note
the incredible detail of the surface rocks even though the polygon outlines are visible due to the camera's proximity to the landscape.
The picture's title, of course, comes from the usual response a mountaineer gives when asked why he has to climb a mountain!
