Image Information: 1280 x 1024. More experimentation with World-Machine and Photoshop heightmapping. I created a massif splt by a deep gorge and placed the sun to shine down the
length of it, with full volumetric lighting to create the sun-ray effect. This is another pure Terragen render; the only post-processing was to add the poem and signatures, and the render
time was 38 minutes.
Artistic Information: Having created this lovely atmospheric image, I felt it needed something to round it off as a desktop wallpaper. Arthur Clough's poem The Struggle seemed
to be the most evocative of this scene, as well as being a favourite poem of both myself and my father, so in it went, using Lucida Calligraphy for the font. The result is a
pic that often adorns my desktop.
