Image Information: 1280 x 1024. This one was done in respone to a discussion on the Kevin's Watch Forums (see Links page for more information)
concerning what Revelstone looked like. This was one impression I had. The landscape was grayscaled in Photoshop and run through World-Machine to create the gullies and rivers.
The Revelstone building was modelled in Cinema4D, and the Terra4D plug-in was used to actually import the landscape into Cinema4D as an object. The two were combined in a
Boolean operation to ensure the foundations of Revelstone matched the landscape positions. Then the landscape in Cinema4D was textured with the Terragen render and Frontal Mapping
was used to preserve the integrity of the original image. Finally, the waterfalls were added in Photoshop with the Airbrush tool. Terragen render time was about 30 minutes, Cinema4D
added another 20 minutes to that.
Artistic Information: Revelstone has been a hot topic of discussion in the Kevin's Watch forums and this picture was done as a result of that discussion. Some people, myself
included, feel that this image is perhaps too artificial-looking given the descriptions of Revelstone in the Chronicles, but it is included here for reference.
