What is NGADLA?

NGADLA is not a company. It is not a club. It is not an organisation in the sense that we know. NGADLA is just a username. A means for a small group of friends to share a broadband connection. The five people whose websites appear on the main page have unique skills and abilities in different areas, but all have a need to access broadband, and all regularly meet at one location. It is here that our connection to cyberspace exists.

What does it mean?

The word "Ngadla" is Zulu; it means "I have eaten!" A century and more ago, the legendary warrior Shaka Zulu spoke this word as he slew his adversaries. Shaka Zulu lived and died fighting for his freedom and and the freedom of his people. Today, our freedom is under threat. It is under threat from powerful special interests whose only concern is the manipulation of free governments to pass laws that take away our freedom and yours, solely to increase their profits. Laws like the DMCA, laws of censorship, laws allowing invasion of privacy and detention without due process. The time is coming when the people of the world will unite and take back our freedom from those who would destroy it. And as the enemies of freedom and justice fall, we too will cry "Ngadla!"

The username NGADLA is used by 5 people:

  • Mystikan: Graphics, 3D Modelling, and programming. You will see him most commonly on the Lucid Dreaming For All Forums, the Filmtracks Forums, and at Kevin's Watch.
  • Nutterpc: Linux, networking, tweaking / optimisation. You will see him most commonly on the Atomic MPC Forums, the Gentoo Linux Forums, and at the Whirlpool Forums.
  • Pilfer: Music, mostly jazz and country, but can write in almost any genre. You won't find him in any particular forums at the moment, though. He's too busy!

To find out more, click the NGADLA logo at the top or bottom of this page, and click a site from the selection. Enjoy!
