Nicholas Burness Pike is an accomplished artist and illustrator who specialises in wildlife subjects. Originally from Suffolk in England, he now chooses to live and work in the bush on Kangaroo Island, South Australia.
He exhibits his paintings regualrly in galleries and exhibitions and his illustrations are featured in books, magazines, interpretive signage projects and other information material for organisations such as National Parks & Wildlife. His extraordinarily detailed biodiversity murals can be seen at the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre on Kangaroo Island. But his work over the years has been as far-flung as the Alice Springs Desert Park and most recently, Vanuatu.
Nicholas is a highly awarded artist who has three times been a finalist in the prestigious Waterhouse Exhibition - Australia’s richest natural history prize.
