When sensors detect imminent rear wheel spin, engine torque is reduced. If one wheel is about to spin, braking is applied to transfer torque to wheel with better traction.

These are for engines from January 1, 2006 complying with Euro 3 (ADR79/01) regulations.
The 3.6L Alloytec engine required minor changes to the engine, exhaust system and calibration from January 1, 2006 due to the introduction of the Eruo 3 (ADR79/01) emissions regulations. These changes included new fuel injectors and a new exhaust catalyst.
