Notes: There seems to be a discrepancy between the birth/death dates and ages: b1896 and d1976 @ 80years b1890 and d 1976 @83 (but maths = 86?) d1918+48 = d 1966 b = 23 Jan 1891 b = +/- 18 Jan 1890 d 1976 burried 11/6/1976 Both souces (oral) say 1890/1896 for birth. The say death at 80/83 years. Year of death seems to be agreed at 1976. Therefore cannot reconcile birth! She kept comprehensive diaries - 40 (A4 size) in all. The BBC is going to use 6 diaries from the war period to make a documentary (called 'No Bananas') about a typical family during the war.
