MEETINGS

AUF AGM - November 18Th 2006- St George's Motor Boat Club SANS SOUCI NSW.

Present at the meeting were :  Graham Henderson AUF President, Ray Horn AUF Secretary Treasurer , Merve Sheehan Membership Liason Officer, Sue Docker Membership Officer, Adam Smith Spearfishing Chairman, Helen Lane Fin Swimming President and Tasmanian representative,  John 

Items discussed at this meeting that affect Fin Swimming:

1. Insurance- Ray Horn had received several quotes for insurance.  The cheapest being around $35,000 per year.  As membership numbers are down in all sports, it was decided that this was too much per head for members.  Ray is to see if he can get more reasonable quotes.

2. Ways were discussed to increase memberships, one being that we remind ex members that we are still around, the other to increase awareness of the sports through schools and clubs.  It was suggested that many people in training and playing have not bothered to take out membership.
