In May 2004 we travelled to Melbourne for a four day break. A break?? After four days of touring, shopping, shopping, and more shopping we were thoroughly exhausted. We left Brisbane Airport on a Friday 6.15am flight, and arrived back at Brisbane Airport at 10.00pm Monday night.

We managed to fit in a one day coach tour along the Great Ocean Road. What fantastic views. Photos and postcards just don't do the scenery any justice. We will return to the area again.

The trip was undertaken only because of the cheap airfares we managed to get. Virgin had a $29-00 special, and we managed to travel return for the amazing sum of $58-00 each. It cost more to leave our vehicle at the airport carpark than it was to fly to Melbourne and back.
