This folder shows my wide field images that don't easily fit into any other folder. These images are all taken with a short-tube 80 mm achromatic refractor piggyback mounted on a 203 mm SCT.

Antares Region Date: 12/07/2004 00:19 LT; Scope: Sky-Watcher ST80, f/4.0; Camera: Canon EOS 300D; Exposure: 14 x 230 sec, ISO 800; Processing: RAW images converted to 16-bit TIF in ImagesPlus. No dark subtraction or use of flats. Images aligned using using Centroid and Translate + Rotate function and combined using Adaptive Addition in ImagePlus. Post-processing in InagesPlus and Photoshop.Description: Antares region showing M4 (Cat's Eye globular cluster), NGC 6144 (faint globular cluster at centre), and 22 Scorpii (blue star at right).

Crux Region Date: 03/04/2005 23:53:14 LT; Scope: n/a; Camera: Canon EOS 300D and kit lens on tripod; Exposure: 60 x 30 sec, ISO 1600; Aperture Value: 5.6; Focal Length: 39.0 mm; Processing: RAW images converted to 16-bit TIF in ImagesPlus. Dark subtraction. Images aligned using using Centroid and Translate + Rotate function and median combined in ImagePlus. Post-processing in ImagesPlus and Photoshop.
