By accessing or using API Web sites, you agree to the terms of the API Online Privacy Policy, as outlined below. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use this site.

Collection of Personal Information

When you engage in certain activities on this site, such as ordering products, downloading software, requesting information, or entering contests, API may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. It is completely optional for you to engage in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, API may require that you provide us with personal information, such as your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and other personal identifying information. If ordering products on the site, you may be asked to provide a credit card number.

API collects this information in order to record and support your participation in the activities you select.

Use of Personal Information

If you request information, your details are used to fulfil your request in the most appropriate manner. If you enter a contest, information is collected to qualify the entry and contact you regarding the contest or prize awards.

If you order a product, for example, the information may be used to register your license and rights, if any, to technical or warranty support, upgrade discounts, or other benefits that may be made available to registered users.

When you submit personal information to API, you understand and agree that API and its subsidiaries, affiliates and trusted service providers, where necessary, may transfer, store, and process your customer information in any of the countries in which API and its business affiliates maintain offices.

API also uses information that you provide as part of our effort to keep you informed about updates, special offers, and other API products and services.

API recognises and appreciates the importance of responsible use of this information. If you do not want the information you provide to API to be used to inform you of other products and special offers from API, and you indicate this preference when you provide the information to API, API will honour your preference.

API does not provide your information to other companies or organisations that have products or services we think may interest you. In these cases API controls all member data and provides the information to you direct through API channels.

When you respond to third party offers, they can collect your information and then those organisations Privacy Policies will apply. If you do not want the information you provide to API to be shared with other companies, and you indicate this preference when you provide the information to API, API will honour your choice.

Your personal information is not stored on line and is password-protected to prevent unauthorised access to it. This password is encrypted.

We recommend that you do not divulge your member number to anyone.

Use of Cookies

When you visit API websites, you can navigate the sites anonymously and access important information without revealing your identity. In order to improve our site, we may use "cookies" to track your visit. A cookie is small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a Web server and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. It functions as your identification card, recording your passwords, purchases, and preferences.

It cannot be executed as code or used to deliver viruses.

While API uses cookies to track your visit to API sites our Web servers automatically log the IP/Internet address of your computer, However, this information does not identify you personally and you remain anonymous unless you have otherwise provided API with personal information.

Please include your name, home address, membership number, phone number and e-mail address when you contact us. Although no specific form is required to notify API of changes to your address or privacy preferences, you may request a Change of Member Information form from API on 1800 088 892.
