Frequently asked questions

1. What does Verbester do?

Verbester has multiple functions, these include:

  • Verb conjugation tester - Will test you on various conjugations of verbs using different tenses and targets
  • Monitor your progress - Keep tabs on your strengths and weaknesses. Target particular tenses or areas of study
  • Verb form dictionary - Search for a verb and display all available tenses. Acts like a verb book but alot faster!
  • Dictionary - Speedy lookups for translation from Spanish to English and vise versa
  • 2. How do I change the timing of the tests?

  • You can change frequency of the tests and how many you will be asked each test using the settings dialog. This is available in the file...settings... menu option.
  • 2. How do groups work?

  • When you search for a verb on the search page, a list of the available groups will be shown along the bottom. Clicking on a verb will show the groups that the verb is a part of. You can add a verb to one of the available groups by just checking the tick box next to the appropriate group. Creating new groups can be done using the "new group" button. Under the settings menu you can select which groups you would like to be tested on. The initial installation comes with a "Commonly used" group which contains about 170 verbs that are recommended as the most commonly used Spanish verbs. A count will show you how many verbs you currently have selected for testing (this will be a total of all selected groups for testing).
